Bobi Conn

Bobi ConnAuthor Bobi Conn (A Woman in Time) stopped by the After Party to share a little Appalachian storytelling with Brad.

Bobi’s own story has been filled with a lot of hard times (In The Shadow of the Valley), but that’s only one part of her tale. She and Brad talked about the joy of writing, the happiness her children bring her, and importance of finding peace with yourself.

Oh, and a bit about the humor that comes out in places we don’t expect.

About Bobi Conn

Bobi Conn was born in Morehead, Kentucky, and raised in a nearby holler, where she developed a deep connection with the land and her Appalachian roots.

Her debut memoir, In the Shadow of the Valley, was published in May 2020. She obtained her bachelor’s degree at Berea College, the first school in the American South to integrate racially and to teach men and women in the same classrooms.

In addition to writing, Bobi loves playing pool, cooking, being in the woods, attempting to grow a garden, and spending time with her incredible children.
