Lorraine Brown

Writers face rejection regularly. Listen to this show—or talk to any writer—and the ten-year journey to publication becomes a familiar tale. Author Lorraine Brown took that to origin story to an absurd, new level. She was constantly on the precipice of success only to have the rug pulled out from under her.

But, listeners, Brad is here to tell you that this story has a happy ending because Lorraine’s debut novel Uncoupling is come to the world in February of 2021!

About Lorraine Brown

Lorraine Brown lives in north London with her partner and their 8-year-old son. She previously trained as an actress and has just completed her final year of a postgraduate diploma in psychodynamic counselling.

In 2018 she was one of 11 mentees chosen to be part of Penguin Random House’s 2018 WriteNow programme, which aims to launch the careers of writers from under-represented communities.

UNCOUPLING is her debut novel and will be published in the UK by Orion in February 2021 and in the US in the Spring.
