Review: You Will Remember Me, by Hannah Mary McKinnon

You Will Remember MeYou Will Remember Me by Hannah Mary McKinnon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Whelp, I’ll tell you what: I did not see the end coming! I genuinely cursed—in an “oh shit!” kind of way—when the last reveal dropped, so make sure you stick around to the end because this slow-burn psychological thriller is going to spin you around a couple times.

Unlike Hannah Mary McKinnon‘s last book Sister Dear, which started you out at the end and then methodically back-tracked you through the story, You Will Remember Me triangulates the story through three main characters who are converging on each other like freight trains. That structure creates a swirl, making you feel like your circling down the drain towards whatever dark end Hannah has cooked up this time.

This is a fun read, but beware: you’re not going to want to put it down—particularly once the three characters find their way into the same space. Because one that happens, the slow-burn gets cast aside and you’re over the waterfall and into the rapids!
