Play episode

Dog lovers of the world: unite: Author Alice Kaltman stopped by the Bunker to talk with Brad (and Maxx) about her book, Dawg Towne, a series of interconnected stories of people sharing the same space.

And, you know, dogs. It’s a lovely conversation about their shared love of animals and the strangeness of turning short stories into a book.

About Alice Kaltman

I’m the author of the story collection STAGGERWING, and the kidlit novels WAVEHOUSE and THE TANTALIZING TALE OF GRACE MINNAUGH. My new novel, DAWG TOWNE is forthcoming in June 2021 from word west press.

You can read my stories in journals like Lost Balloon, The Pinch, Joyland, Hobart and BULL, and in numerous anthologies. Even though I’m not thrilled by the sound of my own voice, you might like it. If so, you can hear me read my stories at Micro Podcasts, Elevator Stories, and The Other Stories.

I split my time between Brooklyn and Montauk, NY. where I live with my husband the sculptor Daniel Wiener and our dog Ollie.
